Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld Seals Sponsorship Deal

The name of Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld is set to become a familiar sight on some of the UK’s most prominent motor circuits.

The specialist luxury motorhome dealer has agreed a sponsorship deal with rising prospect Jake Archer, who was the British Motostar champion in 2018.

The 20-year-old from Andover rides for the Kovara Projects by RS Racing Kalex team in the Quattro Group British GP2 Cup as part of the British Superbike series. He is currently in eighth position in the championship.

The deal saw Travelworld’s logo feature on Jake’s bike for last weekend’s event at Donington Park and the final round at Brands Hatch in a fortnight.

Ross Edwards, managing director of Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld, said: “We are delighted to become part of the Kalex team and to be supporting a talented, up-and-coming racer in Jake.

“The original connection came as the team owner, Peter Lucey, purchased a motorhome from us which he will use for the GP2 events.

“It’s a natural fit for us because if you go to any motorsport events, virtually every team will have at least one motorhome which is their base for the entire weekend.

“We look forward to following Jake’s progress and seeing our logo at the UK’s premier motorsport venues.”

Peter Lucey, owner of the Kalex team who purchased a HYMER MasterLine B 790 ML-I from Travelworld, said: “I was hugely impressed with the service I received from Ross and his team and  delighted that we could reach an agreement around Jake.

“A motorhome is one of the most important elements of a weekend for any motorsport team and I couldn’t be happier with my new HYMER B Class MasterLine.

“Jake and the team will be working as hard as possible to ensure we give Travelworld the best possible exposure through podium finishes.”
