Travelworld Becomes MOT Testing Centre

 

Travelworld the leading motorhome dealerships has received accreditation to become an official MOT Testing Centre.

Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld, based just off junction 14 of the M6 in Stafford, has become one of the first motorhome dealerships in the country to be given the green light to carry out the mandatory tests.

The accreditation has been granted after a series of stringent checks and inspections from the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency.

Ross Edwards, managing director of Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld, said: “This is the next step in the development of our service offering and we are delighted to have achieved the status.

“We have previously offered MOTs and these have been out-sourced to a third party but now we will have even greater quality control with our in-house team.

“The process of receiving accreditation has taken longer than normal due to coronavirus but this news means our fully trained and authorised technicians are now able to carry out full MOT testing on all motorhomes.

“We are perfectly set up to incorporate this additional service, with a 1,000 square metre workshop and 20 independent technical bays, and we have made additional investments in state-of-the-art infrastructure.

“We are proud of our extensive service offering and, coupled with the vast range of vehicles we have available for sale in our showroom, we are confident the every need of current or potential motorhome owners can be satisfied at our headquarters.”

Erwin Hymer Centre Travelworld now hosts an MOT certified four-post hydraulic ramp and a brake testing and axle weight measuring rolling road.

In addition, an extended lounge waiting area has been created to enable customers to remain on site while their MOT inspection is carried out.

The first MOTs are being  carried out by Erwin Hymer Centre from 14th December
