Designed and manufactured in the United Kingdom, Rare-Spares Handbrake Extenders are designed for use with motorhomes and other commercial vehicles where, due to the height of the seats, the standard handbrake position is too low for ease of use. 

Design Features

• All other extenders currently on the market inhibit the use of the swivel seats as fitted to many motorhomes.But the Rare-Spares Handbrake Extenders are unique - Even though they raise the operating handgrip higher than their competitors to make it easily reached, once the vehicle is parked the lever can be moved out of the way to reduce its height to little more than the original handbrake.
• Obviates the need to press the conventional handbrake release button with the thumb. Instead the whole lever is moved to release the handbrake. This effectively makes the handbrake act as the type known in the vintage motoring era as a ‘Fly-Off’ handbrake.
• A larger diameter rubber grip than conventional handbrakes. Suited for those suffering from restricted and/or painful movement of the fingers and thumbs.

Do not mistakenly compare the Rare-Spares extenders with those on the market that have a 'cheap and cheerful' construction. These are quality products manufactured using the finest materials.

Clamping units that encase your existing handbrake handle are injection moulded from tough glass-filled Nylon, or cast in high temperature resistant polyurethane (depending on model), the lever is made from 6mm brushed finish stainless steel, The hand grip made from high grip bi-coloured rubber.

There are currently three versions of Rare-Spares extenders being produced. 
The main seller is for Fiat Ducato, Peugeot Boxer and Citroen Relay vehicles manufactured from 2006 onwards.
Please note that, unlike with a competitor’s extender, this does not require any modification to the manufacturer’s existing handbrake grip.  There is also an extender to fit the same makes and models but this time manufactured up to 2006.  Also, in limited production, is an extender for Ford Transits manufactured between 2000 -2013.
