Summer Camping is now underway…
All set for getting away in your recently purchased Campervan, Motorhome or Caravan?
Or has your pride and joy been mothballed for the last few months and now ready to come to life?
The vast majority of Campsites and Caravan Parks opened on 4th July, if not they will do so soon afterwards.
If you require full facilities it is worth checking with the site when booking as some will not be opening toilet blocks where operating Social Distancing is not practical.
Also most entertainment venues will be non existent.
Anyway, the point is to get away and enjoy the great outdoors!
Personal experience Camping in the New Normal………
We are away ourselves at the moment for a few days in the beautiful Derbyshire Peak District staying at the Caravan and Motorhome Club site at Carsington Water.
The site is virtually full with an even mix of caravans, motorhomes and campervans all socially distanced on their pitches.
Reception is open (one visitor in at a time) with a queuing system outside helped by useful yellow footprints to follow.
Toilet and Shower blocks are open, but restricted to only three people inside at any one time —– that is three in the gents and three in the ladies.
Every second cubicle is taped off to maintain Social Distancing and you have to hang your pitch number marked wristbands on hooks outside the entrance door so that it is clear entry is not allowed if there are three wristbands hanging up.

Outdoor Shows
At the time of writing revised dates for a the forthcoming outdoor Motorhome and Caravan Shows are all still valid but like everything else this year might be revised again.
Coming up are events at Peterborough, Malvern, Newbury, Exeter and the New Forest.
